Ascend Innovation Summit

I designed the logo, branding, and teaser announcement landing page for the Ascend Innovation Summit, an upcoming conference to be presented by Ibotta in May 2025. The Events team wanted an impactful logo and branding that reflected both the innovational nature of Ibotta and the Denver location.
I participated in a strategy session for the name of the event, where my suggestion of "Ascent"/"Ascend" was chosen as part of the event name. When it was time to start on the design, I did research online of other conferences/summits in the tech and marketing industry. I created a simple board with all of the conference logos, and brought this to a brainstorm I led with the Creative team designers. We put together a vision board, and I used this vision board as inspiration as I created three concepts for the logo. I then presented all three logos to the committee leads on the B2B Marketing team, where I took notes on feedback.
The committee loved the simplicity of the third logo, which became the logo you see below. Afterward, I worked closely with the Director of Production to gather a list of all of the assets they would need to create a teaser video, which was the first deliverable needed. I created a branding sheet that included all the branding assets in one file, giving everyone a one stop shop for everything they could need.
The final product is a vibrant logo that stands out among other conference logos in the tech and marketing industry, using Ibotta's colors in a new way. The logo's arrow, the accent triangles, and the subtle Flatirons mountain imagery call back to the event name and Ibotta's hometown of Denver.
The branding sheet will serve as the foundation for the creation of all future marketing assets for the event, including paid ads, owned social, the website, promotional products, and event-specific materials such as badges, itineraries, signage, and more.
